Mirmont's level of care and quality of therapy is superior. I spent 3 weeks there and completed the inpatient program. The hospital offers holistic care, including Qui Jong, acupuncture, and yoga. In addition they have an EMDR program for uncovering and processing trauma. The program is 12 Step based, and many of the therapists and support staff are in recovery. I benefited the most from the VIPER program, a nationally recognized support group exclusively for those with emergency services or military experience. I found much solidarity and healing in talking with my VIPER brothers and sisters who shared my pain and challenges. Recovery is for those who want to change, grow, and heal. Mirmont offers a fantastic opportunity to begin the process.

I had a great experience at this place. The staff for the most part, are wonderfull. Robert Bull is the only one I had an issue with because he walked in on my wife while she was using the bathroom in the visitor waiting room, however, other than that situation everything was great. Absolutely wonderful counselors and staff. Great environment to get better. I would absolutely recomend this place for anyone who is serious. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. Mind you, this is a place for recovery and not a a place to have fun but if you take it serious, you will most certainly have fun. Changed my life for sure

I was inpatient at Mirmont for 30 days. This is a top notch rehab facility. The counselors, nurses, clinical aids, and yoga/meditation instructors are all excellent. Depending on your insurance, you can spend several days in the detox wing and then get transferred over to the inpatient program. Almost immediately after the transfer, you are assigned a small group and an individual counselor for the duration of your stay. The staff keeps you busy throughout the week with yoga classes, mediation, lectures on addiction, small group with your counselor, and daily Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. There is also free time to socialize with the other patients in the facility. Other than lectures and during meals, male/female interaction between patients is minimal and not tolerated. The food gets a lot of positive feedback here. There is a fresh salad bar for lunch and dinner along with a soup of the day. The running joke throughout the rehab is that they serve way too much chicken. I do believe this place saved my life, and allowed me to start living one again.

Mirmont is a great treatment facility for anyone willing to get sober. Dependent on which substances you abused prior to your intake, you’ll be evaluated and they’ll make a descion whether or not you place intake or detox (generally any benzo’s, opiates, or alcohol will place you in detox). Detox’s duration varies based on each individuals needs (general 5-7 days). During detox you’ll be given meds to help with your symptoms, and be monitored 24/7 in a comfortable/friendly environment. The nurses there are great, and there’s always someone there to help assist you or talk to. After, you’ll be sent to inpatient where you’ll be assigned a group and a counselor. Mirmont is a 28 day inpatient program I believe, but they can get you into another facility if necessary, or set you up with outpatient therapy as well. Breakfast is at 7am, lunch 12pm, and dinner 5. There’s snacks available in the cafeteria throughout the day, and while in detox you can get turkey sandwiches. They offer acupuncture while in detox, and yoga once you’re inpatient. They have a gym once you’re out of detox, dietitians, psychiatrists, counselors, smoking therapy, (to get off cigarettes) educational groups, a book store, individual and group therapy, telephones to make calls throughout the day, your own bathrooms door, and plenty more. Bring a book if you’re thinking about going here, the library is very very limited and there aren’t TV’s. Smoking is aloud in designated areas. Overall Mirmont is a really great place to get help, and I’d recommend it to anyone trying to stay clean. I did not get the full experience as I signed out AMA, but from what I learned in the week I was there Mirmont is an incredible place. Best of luck to anyone seeking or in recovery.

No other Rehab can compare to Mirmont. It is the best. The counselors credentials are at the top. Here you learn so much as well as the family. I have been associated with them since 1989. Mirmont is structured and patients are busy from morning to night learning. I assesed Malvern and I saw patients running around like they owned the place, and I found it dirty. Mirmont, you could eat off the floor. But one of the best things is they include the family and teach them about the disease. Mirmont is Priceless, the only thing i'd have to say on a negative note is that it is now run by a Business, whereas prior to the last couple of years, it was run by Addicts mostly and It takes one to know one. I still say it is the BEST> YEARS ago, I went to become an Associate Councellor and still work in the field. Last weekend I was asked by a family to do an intervention and it worked out great . I even got a friend in there. She called me and said "I need you". I picked her up and got her a bed she did her 28 days. Now she lives with me and is doing great. she just got her 30 day coin. Yes for Mirmont 100%

I was at Mirmont in Oct.1999 I thank God for the staff & councillors, especially Rose & Mr Mooney. They saved my life. I was in the brink of losing my family and my job because of my addiction. I have since retired and truly enjoying life. Thank you Mirmont for helping me find the tools to make it. I knew that when I walked out thru those doors I was ready to face the real world.

Addiction psychologists regularly refer inpatient and as an an psychologist and a certified alcohol and drug counselor about one third of my patients will need an inpatient rehab at some point. Most people don't realize that often it makes sense to try treatment on an outpatient basis first but when that doesn't work Mirmont is one of the best local places around. In addition to being connected with the Main Line Health System which offers additional layers of support, Mirmont is generally a comprehensive treatment milieu with state of the art facilities and empirical practices. They were one of the first local treatment centers to offer mindfulness based stress reduction and yoga. Their food is excellent and most of my clients who return from Mirrmont learn extensively about Relapse Prevention. Had an outstanding experience at Mirmont. The Phoenix group and EMDR was very beneficial for me. As it allowed me to work on the root cause of my addiction. The other patients were a another good point, as many were decent and helpful to each other. Like anything in life, one gets what one puts into the endeavor. I have no major complaints, it is still Rehab and not a vacation. The rules are simple to follow to ensure safety for all.

Mirmont is incredible , I was just there in February. Everything about the place is set up extremely well and all the staff are nice and knowledgeable and effective! It was INCREDIBLY RARE for myself or anyone else to be treated with anything but the respect we deserve as a fellow human and the very few times I noticed a staff member not be the nicest ever, it was followed almost immediately with that same person making an attempt to right their wrong and better their mistakes. They make you feel extremely welcome and the food (especially for an inpatient facility) was outta this world! Unfortunately I left early which has been a near fatal mistake and now that I'm struggling with my insurance it's incredibly difficult to get back in and get one more chance to save my life , so I really wish there were more options for people in desperate situations other than having to go straight to keystone center. But with that said I'm not going to let that make me have a negative opinion on mirmont. They save lives constantly and are great people which is exactly why I'm fighting as hard as I possibly can to get back in, I need to save my life and I know their the best ones to help me secure that, I pray everyday for something to come through because they really tried hard to help me before when I wasn't willing too fully receive their help.
